Students and Professors Resume Protest Outside Prime Minister’s Office; Refuse Dialogue
Students and university professors marched from the Polytechnic University of Tirana to the Prime Minister’s Office, where protesters once again threw chairs set out by Prime Minister Edi Rama for dialogue, according to reports from the protest.
Professor Ilirjana Kuçana attempted to stop the demonstrators, urging them not to fall into what she described as Rama’s trap.
Before throwing the chairs, some protesters placed personal belongings and a bottle of beer on them, saying the items were intended for the prime minister.
The demonstrators remain outside the government headquarters, vowing to continue their protests and boycott until Rama resigns.
