The General Prosecutor’s Office and the Audiovisual Media Authority (AMA) are committed to strengthening institutional cooperation and coordination to fight audiovisual digital piracy.
At a meeting, General Prosecutor Mr. Olsian Çela and Chairwoman of the Audiovisual Media Authority Ms. Armela Krasniqi signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to establish and operationalize a task force dedicated to combating audiovisual digital piracy.
Under this Memorandum, AMA undertakes to refer to the competent prosecution offices any materials that may indicate the commission of criminal offenses and to inform the prosecution service of new methods used to engage in digital piracy.

The prosecution service, in turn, undertakes to assess the reports submitted, request any additional information necessary to ensure comprehensive investigations, and cooperate with AMA in documenting and referring cases of audiovisual digital piracy.
