Ex-Albanian National Team's Goalkeeper Signs with Empoli

Former goalkeeper of Albanian national team, Samir Ujkani has found the new team, or more precisely, he has rediscovered the old team. Ujkani, who was a free player, has signed for one year in Serie A, joining the Empoli club again. 

The goalkeeper who now plays for Kosovo national team had been a part of this club in the previous edition as well, actually playing only 90 minutes in the Italian Cup, as he was the reserve goalkeeper of the Tuscans. The club, whose members include other Albanian players, Nedim Bajrami and Ardian Ismajli, announced that Ujkani's new contract was for one year, until the summer of 2023, while he would again wear number 22 on the jersey. 

34-year-old goalkeeper has a rich career in various Italian clubs such as Palermo, Novara, Kievo, Genoa, Latina, Pisa, Cremona, Torino and recently Empoli. The goalkeeper, who graduated from Anderleht's academy, has also played with the Rizespor club in Turkey.
