Two Killed, One Injured After Concrete Pump Truck Crashes Near Tirana's TEG Roundabout

Two people have died and another was injured following a serious traffic accident involving a concrete pump truck near the TEG roundabout in Tirana on Wednesday, according to Albanian police.

Authorities said the victims have been identified as Mohamed Lotf, about 30, the driver of the concrete pump truck, who died at the scene, and Mohamed Ali, about 44, a passenger in the vehicle, who later died in hospital despite receiving medical treatment.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash, Roland Nuri, 28, was injured and remains in hospital. Police said his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

According to preliminary findings, the concrete pump truck collided with a passenger vehicle before crashing through roadside safety barriers and plunging onto the lower level of the TEG–Elbasan roadway.

In a statement, Tirana Police said investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances and determine the cause of the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
