Explosion Damages Parked Car in Tirana, No Injuries Reported

A quantity of explosive material detonated shortly after midnight in Albania’s capital, Tirana, targeting a parked vehicle, according to police.

Authorities said the explosion occurred at around 1:50 a.m. on “Vasil Ndocka” street, where a car owned by 36-year-old Oltjon Klosi was parked.

Police confirmed that no people were injured in the blast. However, the explosion caused material damage to the vehicle.

Local reports indicate that Klosi had previously been arrested in 2013 for illegal possession of weapons.

An investigative team is currently working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident, police said.
