Fier, Three Arrested for Hauling Illegal Immigrants

Three people have been arrested on Friday by Fier police after they were caught transporting 11 emigrants suspected of having entered Albania illegally. 

Police informed that citizens with initials A.D., A. B. and R.J. were detained as they were caught transporting 11 illegal immigrants at the place called "Rotondo e Savrës". 

In the meantime, 2 vehicles and 4 mobile phones were seized as material evidence, while the procedural materials were forwarded to the Prosecution for further procedural actions. 

"Specialists of the Section for Investigation of Illegal Trafficking in DVP Fier, in cooperation with the Operational Sector in DVP Fier, Fier Police Commissariat and Lushnja Police Commissariat, following the work to crack down on criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign nationals, for Illegal border crossing, for profit, based on information received through police channels, have successfully organized and finalized the police operation "Poçemi 2". 

As a result of the operation, the citizens A. D., 36 years old, resident in Tirana, R. J., 33 years old, resident in Tirana and A.B., 34 years old, resident in Vlora, were arrested in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offense "Assistance in illegal border crossing", performed in collaboration. 

These citizens were caught red-handed by the Police services, in the place called "Rotondo e Savrës", transporting with vehicles type "BMW" and "Audi", for profit, 11 emigrants who are suspected of having illegally entered our country", announced the police.
