The Special Court against Corruption (GJKKO) sentenced the former mayor of Lushnja, Fatos Tushe, to 2 years of probation, under the charge of non-declaration of assets.

Days ago, the Special Prosecution against Corruption demanded 17 months in prison for the former mayor of Lushnja, but GJKKO has decided that the former mayor should be sentenced to probation.

Tushe is accused of not declaring assets. It is about an apartment located on the coast, which Fatos Tushe has kept hidden.

The former socialist mayor was sentenced in 2022 to 2 years and 4 months in prison by the Psaçme Court of First Instance for abuse of office.

Meanwhile, another accusation has come from SPAK for violation of equality in tenders, where at that time damages of 5 years were requested but which remained unexamined.
