Messages Sent to Democrat Bardhi through 'Signal' Application Are Not True; SPAK

The messages sent to the democrat, Gazment Bardhi through 'Signal' application are fake.

The news was made public by the Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) through an official press statement.

SPAK clarifies that the messages sent through the "Signal" application to the mobile phones of politicians, which talk about payments of millions of lek, are not true.

"These messages have been leaked in the media for the last few days and the aim was to blackmail various politicians, mainly from the opposition, by fabricating conversations as if they took place in the encrypted SKY/ECC application.

From the verifications of the Special Prosecutor's Office so far, the messages claimed to be derived from the transcripts of conversations carried out via SKY/ECC have been manipulated by fabricating untrue conversations about individuals and illegal actions," says SPAK," says statement.

The Special Prosecutor's Office says that it is closely monitoring this situation and has started verifications to identify the sources of these messages, with the aim of prosecuting the authors, while calling on citizens and public actors to be careful.
