Genc Deromemaj Dismissed as Head of Vlora Cadastre Office
The State Cadastre Agency has announced the dismissal of Genc Deromemaj from his position as Director of the Vlora Regional Cadastre Office.
According to the Agency, the decision follows an internal review of administrative performance and compliance with institutional standards. The measure is part of an ongoing restructuring process aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and service quality in local cadastre branches across the country.
Until a new appointment is made, the duties of the regional director will be temporarily carried out by the deputy director of the Vlora Cadastre.
The State Cadastre Agency reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening professionalism and integrity within its structures and emphasized that further evaluations will continue in other regional offices as well.
Genc Deromemaj, a former Democratic Party official, was appointed director of the Vlora Cadastre in June 2025, succeeding Erjon Galanxhi, who resigned after a short tenure. His appointment sparked reactions from both sides of the political spectrum, as Deromemaj had previously served in the opposition’s local structures.
