Greece Extends Border Closure for Albanians until End of May

“Better safe than sorry” approach seems to have been undertaken by the Greek government as far as Albanian travelers and tourists crossing its borders are concerned, although the pandemic-related figures have fallen to the lowest degrees in its neighboring country.

Based on the released information, the Greek government has decided to postpone until May 31, 2021 the restrictive measures that are in force for citizens traveling from Albania to the Hellenic state.

Meanwhile, the only border point with Greece that will continue to be open is that of Kakavija, which will work from 07.00 to 19.00. Up to 400 people a day who have a residence permit or Greek citizenship will be allowed in this time zone.
