Greek PM, Turkish President to Hold Closed-Door Meeting in New York
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will hold a closed-door meeting. The meeting between them will be held in New York.
Greek Government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis said that the meeting between the two leaders was scheduled to take place in mid-September.
"The topic of discussion between the two ministers will be bilateral relations. The country comes to this meeting without the slightest intention to give up its sovereign rights, but with the will to continue the dialogue", he explained.
At the same time, Pavlos Marinakis announced that a discussion at the level of party leaders will take place on Thursday. Kyriakos Mitsotakis will refer extensively to the situation of the fires that hit Greece, but also to proposals for a more effective response to fires in the new climate environment that the planet is facing.
