Heavy snowfall in Albania led to severe traffic on Sunday, as the road axis in Qafe Thana is totally blocked and hundreds of cars and trucks got stuck on the road for more than two hours in sub-zero temperatures.

Hundreds of vehicles were trapped on this road, state police reported in the evening due to a bus and a van that slipped in the snow. So far it was learned that citizens were blocked because even the snow cleaning vehicles could not enter in this road axis due to the heavy traffic created. 

Minister of transportation and Energy called on Albanians to stay at home and avoid traveling.

More snow was predicted for Albania during Tuesday.
