IKMT Plans Demolition of 45 Buildings in Velipoja

45 buildings in the area of ​​Velipoja have been included in the list of buildings that will be demolished by the National Inspectorate of Territorial Defence (IKMT) within the operation "Our Coast". 

Albaniandailynews.com has provided the list of illegal objects that have been included in the demolition plan, of which 25 are located along the coastline and 20 others on the pedestrian zone. 

Specifically, in the area along the coast, 18 one-story service units with wooden construction, 2 one-story buildings with wooden and 1 metal construction, 1 container with wooden construction and two platforms paved with stone slabs are expected to be demolished. While in the area above the pedestrian there are mainly illegal objects as well as additions to the existing buildings built without permission. 

In parallel with Velipoja, the action of IKMT is continuing in the area of ​​Ksamil to be extended to the entire coastline. Deputy Minister of Interior Julian Hodaj stated that this operation is expected to be completed by June 30 in order not to hinder the tourist season. 

While the inerts that will remain on the ground after the demolition will be billed to the owners who have built without permission as a "payment" invoice for the violation. After the coast, the operation will continue in protected areas and then throughout the country, wherever there is illegal construction.
