Several political parties, among them Socialist Party and the Democratic Party, have been fined by the CEC (Central Election Commission). The State Commissioner of Elections in Wednesday's public session approved the report of findings from the audit of the funds received and spent by the political parties participating in the elections for the Parliament of Albania, dated April 25, 2021. 

The commissioner decided to propose to the Complaints and Sanctions Commission the taking of administrative measures, for political parties, candidates: 

1. "Democratic Party" with a fine of 100,000 (one hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 8 of the Electoral Code; 
2. "Democratic Party of Albania" with a fine of 100,000 (one hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 1 of the Electoral Code; 
3. "Movement for National Development", with a fine of 100,000 (one hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 1 of the Electoral Code; 
4. Mr. Lala winner of the political party "New Movement Party" with a fine of 195,000 (one hundred and ninety-five thousand) ALL and the transfer of funds received on behalf of the CEC, according to Article 173, point 5 of the Electoral Code; 
5. "Legality Movement Party" with a fine of 500,000 (five hundred thousand), according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code; 
6. "Socialist Party of Albania" with a fine of 500,000 (five hundred thousand), according to article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code; 
7. "Republican Party" with a fine of 500,000 (five hundred thousand), according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code; 
8. "Movement for National Development" with a fine of 500,000 (five hundred thousand), according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code; 
9. " Democratic National Front Party" with a fine of 500,000 (five hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code; 
10. "People's Union Party of Albanian Pensioners" with a fine of 600,000 (six hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code; 
11. "Partia Nisma Thurje" with a fine of 600,000 (six hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code; 
12. "Democratic Conviction Party" with a fine of 600,000 (six hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code; 
13. "Albanian Democratic Movement Party" with a fine of 600,000 (six hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code 
14. "Social Democratic Party;" with a fine in the amount of 600,000 (six hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code 
15. "National Front Party" with a fine in the amount of 600,000 (six hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code 
16. "Democratic Party" with a fine of 600,000 (six hundred thousand) ALL, according to Article 173, point 3 of the Electoral Code; 
17. "Socialist Party of Albania", fine in the amount of 5,000,000 (five million) lek, according to article 173, point 9 of the Electoral Code; 

Pursuant to Article 88 point 7 of the Electoral Code, the Commissioner decided: 
1) Obliging the political party "Social Democratic Party" to return to the CEC the amount of 1,629,360 (one million six hundred and twenty nine thousand three hundred and sixty) ALL; 
2) The obligation of the political party "Movement for National Development" to return to the CEC the amount of 55,166.74 (fifty-five thousand one hundred sixty-six comma seventy-four) ALL; 
3) The obligation of the political party "New Democratic Spirit" to return to the CEC the amount of 485,332 (four hundred and eighty-five thousand three hundred and thirty-two) ALL.
