Official sources inform that more than 8 thousand Albanian citizens and foreigners have entered and exited from Kapshtica crossing point during the last 24 hours, due to Orthodox Easter. 

The highest flow was at the entrance of the Albanian territory with 5612 citizens. But during the last few hours there have been increased movements in the direction of the neighboring country with 3257 citizens. 

In order to cope with the increasing flow of cross-border movements, our border police have increased the number of counters, opening 3 of them at the exit and 4 at the entrance. Meanwhile, from the Greek side, just like yesterday, 4 counters are being worked on. 

In the last 3 days, more than 16,000 citizens have entered our country from Greece and nearly 7,000 have left. On the other hand, more than 4,500 citizens have entered and exited at the Qafë-Thana border crossing point that connects Albania with North Macedonia.
