Kosovo, N. Macedonia to Have Joint Customs Control

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, has signed an agreement that from Monday Kosovo and North Macedonia will have "common border crossing points". 

Sveçla said that he has signed the agreement which will enable the establishment of joint border crossing points with the Republic of North Macedonia, in "Han i Elezit-Bllacë" and "Glloboqicë-Jazhincë". 

"From today, the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of North Macedonia have common border crossing points. Taking into account the friendly relations, based on the values of equality and with the aim of strengthening regional cooperation, today I have signed the agreement which will enable the establishment of common border crossing points with the Republic of North Macedonia, 'Han i Elezit-Bllacë ' and 'Glloboqicë-Jazhinë'," said Sveçla. 

This agreement, according to Svecla, "is aimed at simplifying procedures and facilitating the movement of people and vehicles". "From now on, citizens will be legitimized only at one border point", he concluded.
