Krifca: Joint Efforts for Food Security
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Frida Krifca, participated on the 171st Conference of the Council of the World Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), which is taking place in Rome, Italy.
During her speech at the conference, the minister expressed the importance of this meeting, where future agricultural policies are being discussed to provide solutions to new challenges such as food security, as a result of the war in Ukraine, the increased floods associated with the obvious climate changes, as well as the necessity for common policies in the service of increasing the quality of production.
"It is an honor and a privilege to speak today at this important international event that brought together important actors who have contributed to the joint effort for food security in 2022," said Minister Krifca.
According to her, the last months have been a clear example of the need for comprehensive cooperation and inventory, as she noted the role of the World Food and Agriculture Organization as the main agency that fights hunger and increases food security in the world, and how interlocutor for sustainable food systems, is very welcome in these challenging times.
"Albania appreciates the findings and recommendations of the Council of Agriculture, especially those related to the sustainability of food systems and the importance of an open dialogue for the benefit of citizens", declared Minister Krifca.
