Lawyer of Ex-KLA Member Blames Serbia for His Arrest

The former member of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Dritan Goxhaj, was arrested this Monday in Tirana, by order of the Special Court of Kosovo, for the purpose of extradition. Regarding this, Goxhaj's lawyer, Bashkim Nikolla, said that that the "extended hands" of Serbia are hidden behind this event, which, according to him, is trying to take the Kosovo military to the "guillotine" called the Hague Tribunal.

Lawyer Nikolla said that Dritan Goxhaj and his father, Dilaver Goxhaj, have fought in the service of the motherland and are two freedom fighters.

"I asked for preliminary explanations and he told me that I would take them to the local directorate of the Tirana Police and sign the relevant documentation.

In the Court's decision, it is noted that extradition is effected. With this information and the person I know, the fight and work for the benefit of the homeland and free speech, since father and son are 2 KLA soldiers. In this conclusion, I find here the outstretched hands of Serbia, to take the KLA soldiers one by one to the special guillotine called the tribunal. Extradition is not an immediate procedure.

People are not stones, they have rights and obligations. No matter how much the truth sinks, it does not drown. Dritani is a fighter who has endured the Serbian bullet machine. They raised the bar so high for Hashim Thaçi and now they are asking them one by one, to silence the voice of freedom. This is beyond a criminal procedure. It has the background that I said", said Nikola.

We remind you that Dritan Goxhaj accompanied the American troops during the War in Kosovo in 1999.

He joined the KLA as an officer of the Albanian Army at the aviation school and was authorized by the General Staff to maintain contact with the command of American forces in Albania.
