North Atlantic Alliance, NATO has congratulated this Monday Albania on the occasion of its 110th anniversary of Independence Day, inviting everyone to join it in the celebrations.

On the social networks, the NATO attached a photo of the Albanian army holding the national flag to its congratulatory message on this day marked for the Albanian nation.

"Join us in celebrating our Ally Albania on their Independence Day", stated NATO.

However, the Independence Day, is celebrated every 28 November as a holiday in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and the Albanian diaspora.  

It refers to the Albanian Declaration of Independence on 28 November 1912 and the rise of the Albanian flag in Vlora, coinciding with the day in which Skanderbeg raised the same flag in Kruja, on 28 November 1443.
