One Albania Ensures Cybersecurity at NATO’s 3rd Cyber Defence Conference

For two consecutive days, Tirana became the stage for NATO’s 3rd Cyber Defence Conference, where delegations from all member countries discussed strengthening collective resilience against digital threats and advancing public–private cooperation in cybersecurity. One Albania served as the trusted partner ensuring that all conference operations ran seamlessly and remained protected from any potential cyber threat during this high-profile event. The telecommunications leader provided its advanced DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) protection service, safeguarding the conference’s digital infrastructure.

Cybersecurity has become the new frontline of national defence across Europe — and Albania is no stranger to this reality. The country’s direct experience with cyber threats marked a turning point in building its digital preparedness and resilience.

In this spirit, Albania’s role as the host of the conference and One Albania’s technological support represents a shared step forward in strengthening digital resilience. As Prime Minister Edi Rama noted in his remarks, “Albania has become stronger because it has learned from experience.”

For this event, One Albania deployed its advanced DDoS protection service to ensure that all conference networks remained secure and uninterrupted — the same service that currently protects businesses across Albania from the growing wave of cyberattacks capable of paralyzing systems and disrupting operations.

DDoS attacks work by overloading a system with excessive traffic until it can no longer function properly. One Albania’s protection system detects these intrusions in real time, redirects malicious traffic, and replaces it with clean data — keeping services active, stable, and secure.

The NATO Cyber Defence Conference in Tirana was not only a prestigious event but also a milestone demonstrating Albania’s growing role as an active player in the global digital security landscape.

The conference was held for the first time in Albania by the National Authority for Cybersecurity, with which One Albania has a strong and ongoing collaboration, serving as a strategic platform for the exchange of expertise among Allies and for advancing joint policies in this field. One Albania’s role in this process stands as a clear example of how cooperation between the public and private sectors can build stability and protection against the invisible threats of the online world.
