A large amount of drugs has been busted on the Greek-Albanian border, in the area of Thesprotia, Igoumenica. 

The 126 kilograms and 380 grams of marijuana were found in a vehicle that was loaded at the green border and was trying to be taken to the Greek territory.

Based on the field information, the drug was divided into 89 packages, worth about 316.000 EUR, while one person was arrested.

Greek police also seized 650 EUR and 2 mobile phones.

Since the beginning of this year, the Greek police of Igoumenica have detected and captured 3 shipments coming from Albania and seized a total of 228 kg of marijuana.

According to the Greek police, the value of one kilogram of marijuana in Greece is 2,500 EUR.
