SPAK Seeks 302 Years in Prison for 15 Defendants in High-Profile 'Golden Bullet' Case

The Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) has reportedly requested a combined 302 years in prison for 15 defendants in the high-profile “Golden Bullet” (Plumbi i Artë) organized crime case.

Among the defendants is Nuredin Dumani, considered a key figure in the criminal network, for whom prosecutors have requested 10 years in prison following a sentence reduction linked to his cooperation with justice authorities.

The proposed sentences include 35 years for Henrik Hoxhaj and Petrit Doçi, 25 years for Enver Diva, Besian Xhixha and Altin Ndoci, and 20 years for several other defendants.

The case involves allegations linked to contract killings, attempted assassinations, drug trafficking, explosives attacks and other organized crime activities across Tirana, Durrës and Elbasan.

Investigators made significant progress following Dumani’s arrest on March 29, 2022. His cooperation, alongside the analysis of encrypted Sky ECC communications, helped authorities investigate several suspected murders and alleged assassination plots.

The requested sentences are prosecutors’ recommendations and remain subject to the court’s final decision.
