Electric, hybrid and plug-in vehicles are significantly increasing their presence in the Albanian market, accounting for 71.2% of vehicles with 0 kilometers registered during the period January-July 2026.

According to the report of the General Directorate of Road Transport Services (DPSHTRR), registrations of these vehicle categories have increased by 21% compared to the same period in 2025.

The data show a strong orientation of the new vehicle market towards electric and hybrid technologies, which are increasingly gaining weight in buyers' choices.

DPSHTRR periodically publishes vehicle registration indicators, highlighting developments in the vehicle market and changing preferences for new vehicles registered in the country.

For the first seven months of 2026, registration data thus confirms the rapid growth of vehicles with electric, hybrid, and plug-in technology in Albania.
