Perpetrator’s Testimony on Square Incident

The 32-year-old Arben Mema, the person who crashed three cars in Tirana and terrorized the citizens in "Skanderbeg" Square, testified to the Police his version of the event.

According to the perpetrator, before he went to the polls, he had gone to the park and bought 5 grams of narcotics, two grams of which were consumed immediately.

A day ago, the 32-year-old rented a car in Kamza, and on Sunday he went to vote in Kombinat, where he also had his Voting Center. Afterwards, Mema headed towards the Yzmerisht area in the capital, where two cars collided, while his itinerary continued with the Fresk area.

Even in this area, the 32-year-old crashed into a car and then, from there, headed towards "Skanderbeg" square, where he was neutralized by civilians.

Mema has claimed that he does not remember anything from what he did before, remembering only the moment in the middle of the square.

As reported, the perpetrator has previous criminal records. He has been banned for narcotics use and for an accident. All structures are investigating the event and fortunately these incidents have passed without injuries.
