Police Officers and Protesters Injured During Clashes Outside Albanian Parliament
At least three police officers and one protester were injured during clashes outside Albania's Parliament on Thursday, as demonstrators confronted security forces amid heightened political tensions.
According to local media reports, the violence escalated after protesters breached a metal security barrier erected around the Parliament building. Three police officers were injured during the confrontation and were taken inside the parliamentary security perimeter to receive first aid.
One protester was also reported injured in the clashes, while police detained eight demonstrators.
As tensions continued to rise, authorities deployed a water cannon vehicle to disperse the crowd gathered outside the Parliament building.
The unrest came as Parliament convened for a plenary session, with protests unfolding outside the legislature.
