Police Prevent Mass Clash Among Minors in Tirana, 28 Teenagers Face Proceedings

Police in the Albanian capital have prevented a potential mass confrontation involving several groups of minors in the Kombinat area, authorities said.

Police said officers acted after receiving operational information that several groups of teenagers were planning to confront one another in the area.

Officers from Police Station No. 6, working alongside the Special “Eagle” Force, located several groups of minors on Llambi Bonata Street and intervened before the situation could escalate.

The teenagers were escorted to the police station, where officers conducted physical searches. Authorities said five bladed weapons and sharp objects, including knives and screwdrivers, were seized. Several masks were also reportedly found and taken as evidence.

Following consultation with prosecutors, 28 minors, aged between 13 and 17, were placed under proceedings while remaining at liberty, police said.

The procedural measures were carried out in the presence of the minors’ parents and psychologists.

Police have referred the case materials to the Prosecutor’s Office for further investigation.
