The State Police reacted Saturday after the accuse by the prosecutors that this institution did not reacted to protect them while dozens protested outside the Special Prosecution against the arrest of Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

According to police, for the first time, institutions communicates through the media, not in an institutional way. 

Police clarified that no one informed that a group of people will be gathered outside SPAK, and whet police was informed about the situation took the necessary measures, engaging dozens of forces in the area.

"After we have been informed, we sent 77 police officers outside SPAK headquarters. The situation was calm and the law or public security were not at risk" reacted police.
