President Begaj Received by Kazakhstan's Counterpart

President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, accompanied by First Lady Armanda Begaj, was received today on a state visit to Kazakhstan by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. 

This visit marks the first visit of a president from Albania to Kazakhstan, and comes at a time when 30 years have passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. After the state reception ceremony, the two presidents held a one-on-one meeting, which was followed by a meeting between the two delegations. 

In a statement to the media, evaluating the very good relations between the two countries, President Begaj said that: "Special attention was also paid to economic cooperation, trade exchanges, finding opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest, such as it can be energy, infrastructure, agriculture or the extraction and processing of minerals." 

President Begaj also held a meeting with the Chairman of the Senate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Maulen Ashimbayev. He and Mr. Ashimbayev spoke about the importance of parliamentary relations in the further rapprochement of the two countries. 

According to President Begaj, raising the range of exchanges between the two parliaments would enable both countries to further deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
