President Ilir Meta in the framework of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Vlora War praised the Wind Orchestra of the Armed Forces with the high decoration "Knight of the Order of the Flag".

The Wind Orchestra has been awarded the high title with the motivation: As successor of Albanian patriotic, war and martial music, founded by the National Band “Vatra”; the orchestra of the Albanian state, which with artistic quality and military discipline, has implemented at all times with precision and dedication the Protocol of the Albanian State, as a unique musical formation that elevates the values ​​of our National Anthem and Flag through dignified and solemn interpretations.

During the decoration ceremony, Meta emphasized that the Wind Orchestra of the Armed Forces is the only professional wind orchestra in Albania, a worthy descendant of the "Vatra" band.

"This example of inspiration should serve us  for our young people, for professionals or all categories of society who love the homeland, that regardless of the areas they come from, they can serve Albania, the development and progress of the Albanian people," Meta said.
