A protester was filmed attempting to loot an ATM inside a financial institution in the Albanian capital, as a group of demonstrators stormed the premises, smashed windows and entered the building.

Footage shows protesters breaking the glass windows before forcing their way inside. Some also entered the institution’s second floor, throwing objects out through the shattered windows and setting them on fire.

The incident marks a further escalation in the unrest, with scenes of vandalism and destruction unfolding inside the financial institution.
