Protesters Block Albanian Parliament Exit, Throw Eggs at Lawmakers Amid Clashes With Police

A group of protesters blocked the main exit of Albania's Parliament on Thursday, making it difficult for lawmakers and government ministers to leave the building as a plenary session came to an end.

As members of parliament and cabinet ministers exited the chamber, some protesters threw eggs at them, escalating tensions outside the legislature.

Several confrontations also broke out between demonstrators and police officers stationed around the Parliament building. Following repeated clashes, authorities called in reinforcements, including rapid intervention police units, to help secure the area and restore order.

There were no immediate official reports of injuries or arrests following the incidents. The protest was part of a broader anti-government demonstration held outside Parliament during the parliamentary session.
