Renowned Albanian Actor Dies at 75

Famous Albanian actor, Mirush Kabashi has passed away at the age of 75, as announced this Tuesday. 

This news was made known by his family members through an announcement, saying that he died after midnight. 

However, cause of the known actor's passing is not yet known. 

"Dear Friends, Colleagues and Lovers, it is with deep sadness that we inform you that MIRUSH KABASHI passed away on Tuesday, December 5 after midnight. Regarding the details of the day, the time of the funeral and the tributes, we will communicate to you in the following hours. Sincerely, the Kabashi Family!", the announcement states. 

Nevertheless, Mirush Kabashi left behind a rich artistic legacy, as an actor of about 100 roles in theater and films. He has also been described as one of the greatest interpreters of poetry in Albania. Mirush Kabashi was born on April 17, 1948 in Shkodër and grew up in Durrës. His origin is from Gjakova. 

In 1970 he graduated as an actor from the High Institute of Arts in Tirana and started working at the "Aleksandër Moisiu" theater in Durrës. There, he continued until 1994, also having the role of director, 1991-1993. Then he worked at Albanian Television, in the Artistic Programs department as a creator and presenter, and from 2002 onwards at the National Theatre. 

Since 1985, with interrupted periods, he has been active as a teacher of "Acting Mastery" at the Academy of Arts. He has been honored with the high titles "Honour of the Nation", "Deserved Artist" and "Great Master of Work".
