Shkodra, Murderer of 23-Year-Old Footballer Handcuffed

Person responsible for injuring and killing football player Gledis Kraja, 23 years old on Monday evening has been apprehended, the police announced Tuesday.

According to the authorities, the perpetrator is citizen with initials S. S., 23 years old and resident in “Perash” neighborhood of Shkodra. The investigation has also discovered that the offender shot the victim by accident as he attempted to gun down citizen D. H, after a momentary conflict.

The weapon used for the crime is a modified automatic gun, which has been seized along with the 18 empty shells it fired, the police said. However, the materials were submitted to Shkodra Prosecution, which will see to aggressor’s conviction on “Premeditated murder, committed in cooperation” and “Illegal possession of firearms and ammunition”.

“The event that took place on the evening of 17.08.2020, where the citizen G. K., 23 years old, accidentally lost his life, is clarified. Citizen S.S. 23 years old, resident in Shkodra is put in handcuffs. The modified firearm is also seized.

This citizen, during an instant conflict has attempted to kill with firearm citizen D.H., where as a consequence was accidentally seriously injured the citizen G. K, 23 years old resident in ‘Perash’ neighborhood, Shkodra, who later passed away in the Shkodra Regional Hospital.

In the quality of material evidence were seized the firearm, 18 cartridges fired from this firearm, the vehicles which belong to the parties in conflict, and intensive work continues for the legal documentation of this event”, notified the police.
