The Socialist Party has scored its fifth victory in the local by-elections, taking over the Municipality of Durrës.

After the process of counting the votes in 337 Voting Centers, Emiriana Sako has won with a difference of about 20 thousand votes against the candidate in second place, Ardian Muka from the coalition "House of Freedom". 

The elected mayor counts 39,157 votes, marking a deep difference with the second place, the candidate of the "House of Freedom", Ardian Muka, who received 20,831 votes. 

Meanwhile, Democratic Party candidate Luan Hoti received only 7,937 votes.

Socialist Party: 

Emiriana Sako - 57.6% 

'Freedom House' Coalition: 

Ardian Muka - 30.7% 

Democratic Party: 

Luan Hoti 11.7%
