Large Wildfire Breaks Out Near Himarë as Firefighters Battle Blazes

A large wildfire has broken out in the southern hills of Himarë, with flames spreading through scrubland and dry vegetation in the area known as Llaman, according to local authorities.

More than 17 firefighters, supported by officers from the Himarë Police and Civil Emergency teams, have been deployed to contain and extinguish the fire.

Authorities say the operation remains challenging as high temperatures and strong winds continue to fuel the blaze, increasing the risk of further spread. Emergency crews are working to prevent the fire from reaching nearby residential areas.

Officials have implemented emergency response measures, and firefighting operations remain ongoing. No injuries or damage to homes have been reported so far, but authorities continue to monitor the situation closely as efforts to bring the wildfire under control continue.
