SPAK Seizes Property of Ex-Minister's Husband

The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) seizes 5512 m2 of land from Artan Gaçi, the husband of former Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka.

It is learned that this preventive sequestration has been decided as it is being investigated for falsification of the deed of taking ownership of the land.

This area turns out to be a part of the land with which Artan Gaçi has acquired the status of strategic investor some time ago.

The sequestration of the property was done in the framework of the investigation launched on the basis of the report of the elected mayor of the Municipality of Himara.

Beleri claims that the property was obtained through forged AMTPs. In order to prevent the documents from being alienated, SPAK has seized them, while the property in the name of Gaçi cannot be alienated.

Let us remind you that the former MP of the Socialist Party, Artan Gaçi, now a strategic investor in the south of Albania, appeared for a few hours at SPAK on October 6. The acting mayor of the municipality of Himare, Jorgo Goro, was also called to SPAK.

The husband of the socialist MP and former Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, has been accused of falsifying documents for the property he bought for investment, collaborating with Jorgo Goro, the acting mayor of Himara Municipality.
