Tender Abuse, Agricultural University Officials to Remain in Prison

The Tirana Court of Appeal has approved the decision of the First Instance by ordering "prison arrest" for the 4 officials of the Agricultural University of Tirana. They are accused of theft and abuse of office. 

At least until the end of the investigations, the officials of the Agricultural University of Tirana are under investigation for abuses of the tenders. Such a prison sentence was assigned to Ali Rasha, the director of the experimental didactic form at the University. 

Tahir Ballgjini was in charge of the Agriculture sector, Rushit Suna, specialist in the agriculture sector as well as for Ahmet Mejdani, storekeeper in the central warehouse at the Agricultural University in Tirana. 

After the investigations, it was concluded that in cooperation with each other and in different roles, they predetermined the winner of the tenders, carried out fictitious entry and exit of goods in warehouses, abusing their duties. Their arrest came after a months-long investigation and the work to identify other persons involved in this criminal activity is ongoing.
