Two Spanish tourists were injured after a three-vehicle collision on the Sarandë–Ksamil national road on Thursday afternoon near the area known as Manastiri, according to preliminary information.

Emergency medical teams and police officers responded to the scene shortly after the crash, providing assistance to the injured and working to restore traffic flow.

The injured have been identified as Jove Pibrall Jove, 24, and Catia Picac, 37, both Spanish nationals who were visiting Sarandë on holiday. They were initially taken to the Emergency Department of Sarandë Regional Hospital.

Doctors said the 24-year-old sustained lower back injuries and was later transferred by ambulance to the University Trauma Hospital in Tirana for specialized treatment.

The 37-year-old suffered head injuries and remains under medical care at Sarandë Hospital. Medical staff said her condition is stable and she is not in life-threatening condition.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collision. No official information has yet been released regarding the circumstances that led to the three-vehicle crash.

The accident also caused significant material damage to the vehicles involved.
