Tirana Woman Prosecuted, Fined after Blocking Traffic for ‘TikTok’ Video
State Police has prosecuted this Wednesday a young girl, who together with her friends blocked the road in the New Ring to make a video on the TikTok application.
Official sources from the police informed that the perpetrator was a 21-year-old woman, with the initials V.D., resident in Tirana, who also turned out to have been driving without a driving license.
However, the young woman who was driving a white "Mercedes Benz" vehicle was fined 50,000 ALL, while the vehicle was seized as material evidence.
“Based on the publication on social media of a video showing a citizen, which from the verification showed that on 22.08.2021, had stopped the vehicle in the carriageway, on the ‘Teodor Keko’ street and together with the passengers traveling with him, carried out prohibited actions on the road, creating a dangerous situation and traffic jams, the staff of the Regional Commissariat of Traffic Police Tirana, after identifying the area and data of the vehicle, made it possible to ascertain and escort the vehicle, as well as criminal proceedings driver, citizen VD, 21 years old, resident in Tirana, for driving illegally, as it turned out not to be equipped with a driving license.
Also, this citizen was punished with an administrative measure of 50,000 new ALL, for prohibited actions on the road, while the vehicle was seized as material evidence.
Meanwhile, it is being worked on identifying and prosecuting the person responsible for entrusting the vehicle to a citizen who is not equipped with a driving license", as quoted from the police notification.
