Two Arrested after 61-year-old Was Burned Alive
Tirana Police Director, Lorenc Panganika has announced Thursday the arrest of 2 people and declaration wanted of another person for the murder of 60-year-old Menduh Kurt-Deda in 2017.
In a press conference, Panganika revealed that Gazmir Ngota and Marjeta Karaj have been arrested, while the latter's son, Besmir Karaj - who will face the criminal offense of "intentional murder" committed in cooperation - has been declared wanted.
On May 16, 2017, in the place called "Shupal Hill", an unidentified male corpse was found, partially burned and partially decomposed.
With the help of the scientific laboratory, the victim was identified as Menduh Kurt-Deda from Sohodolli i Dibre and at the time of the incident, a resident of Lukovë, Saranda.
Three citizens in question, after having contacted citizen Menduh Kurt-Deda in the Xamllik area, who had been hiding for a long time, as a result of an unpaid debt, took him by force in the vehicle, and went to the Allias area, where they used violence against him.
Then they transported him to a forest area, in the place called "Kodër Shupal", where after they raped and tied the 61-year-old man, they burned him with fuel.
