Two Kurbin Candidates Expelled from DP’s Primaries after Shooting

Two candidates in Kurbin branch of Democratic Party's (DP) primaries, Edmond Shkoza and Alfred Dajci, have been excluded from the elections within the political entity this Saturday.

This decision was taken by the Commission for the Organization and Control of Electronic Operations, since an incident occurred at the blue headquarters in Kurbin, which led to gunshots a few days ago.

Furthermore, the PD has condemned the attack and considers the acts of violence unacceptable, as it emphasizes that the progress of the primaries has been severely disrupted.

Previously, the conflict at the PD headquarters in Kurbin resulted in shots being fired.

Shooter Van Rica supported Edmond Shkoza in the primaries, while the deputy head of the branch, Kastriot Marku, had changed the candidate he supported several times and this is where the conflict started. Marku had initially supported Skoza, but this changed later.

The event happened at the DP offices in Kurbin during a formal meeting for the selection of the candidate who will represent the Democrats in the local elections.

During the meeting, Rica fired a gun and then ran away in the direction of the defendant, to be arrested later by the police. The court decided against him the security measure "obligation to appear".
