The US Embassy announced that the United States government is providing transportation for 12 contact tracing teams in Albania, who will support the Ministry of Health strategy to scale up COVID-19 testing, contact tracing, and disease surveillance.

According to the US Embassy, this support from USAID will enable tracing teams to carry out work in remote communities.

"The United States Government, through USAID/Albania, is providing transportation for 12 contact tracing teams who will support the Ministry of Health’s strategy to scale up COVID-19 testing, contact tracing, and disease surveillance. Minister Manastirlliu unveiled the strategy this week, and USAID support will enable the tracing teams to carry out this important work in remote communities," announced US Embassy to Albania.
