American Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken, will visit Tirana on February 16.

This will be the first visit of the Secretary of State to Albania since 2021, when he took this position. 

So far it was learned that the final details of the agenda are being finalized. While the main object of the visit is still unknown. 

The first visit of an American Secretary to Albania was the one of James Baker on June 1991. Followed by Madeleine Albright on 19 February 2000. The last one was the visit of John Kerry on 14 shkurt 2016.
