The Special Prosecution against Corruption has officially started investigation on the Vlora International Airport.

Just two months after the first flight, SPAK informed Wednesday that the concession over this airport is under investigations.

The owner of the newest airport is the company of the Kosovo-Albanian businessman, Behgjet Pacolli, called "Mabco Constructions". According to data declared at the National Business Center, it owns 98% of the shares, 2% is owned by the company 2A Group SH.P.K.

The prosecution is investigating the technical details of Pacolli's agreement with the Albanian state and the contract for the construction of VIA.

The new airport predicts a 104 million investment and it has 309 hectares.
