Employment, the economy, and education are the three main concerns for the younger generation in Albania.

According to the report "Generation Z in the Western Balkans", young Albanians see the labor market as the biggest challenge for their future, Scan TV reported.

About 43% of them say that their main concern is finding a job, while 41% list the economic situation and 36% education.

The report, which analyzes over 6,000 young people in six Western Balkan countries, also shows that financial independence remains a difficult goal to achieve.

Most young people in the region do not live independently. 65.5% of them live with their parents or other family members, while only a small proportion rent a house or own an apartment of their own.

This is directly related to the economic reality they experience. The majority of young people declare that they have enough income for basic needs, but not for major expenses.

34.9% of young people have money for food and clothing, but not for expensive purchases, while only about a fifth of young people say they can afford everything they need.

However, despite these economic difficulties, most young people remain optimistic about life and the future.

A good life, they say, means a good job, financial stability, and strong family relationships. But for many, the path to this stability can also be through emigration. The report shows that 38.9% of young people in the region have considered leaving the country for work, while 27% for studies.
