AKSK warns citizens that involvement in the platform brings irrecoverable financial losses.

Alarm over Investments in Crypto Platform

The National Cyber Security Authority (AKSK), with a public announcement, has warned of the identification of a case of online fraud through a platform called TXEX.

According to AKSK, this platform, presented as an application for investing in cryptocurrency, is not registered and is not licensed in the Republic of Albania, and as such operates outside any national legal framework. From AKSK's observations and from the numerous denunciations made public, it is concluded that its activity bears the clear features of a fraudulent digital scheme.

According to AKSK, the TXEX platform uses deceptive and false advertisements on social networks (e.g. Instagram, TikTok); creating simulated communication groups on Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal; presenting fabricated profits to build credibility among victims; requesting additional payments under the pretext of "verification" or "withdrawal of funds"; collecting sensitive personal documents (ID, photos), increasing the risk of misuse of personal data.

AKSK warns Albanian citizens that involvement in this platform brings irrecoverable financial losses, a high risk of violation of privacy and digital identity, and the possibility of further misuse of personal data by criminal networks.

According to AKSK, citizens should keep in mind that no unlicensed entity has the right to offer financial or investment services in Albania, and promises of quick and guaranteed profits are a classic indicator of online fraud. Also, no legitimate platform requires additional payments or personal data to withdraw funds.
