Albania, Belgium Launch Joint Digital Platform to Manage Illegal Migration Cases

Albania and Belgium have put into operation a joint digital platform for the real-time management of illegal migration cases, the Media and Information Agency (MIA) reported.

The system represents a new level of bilateral institutional cooperation, positioning Albania among the first countries in Europe to implement an integrated electronic system for handling and coordinating return procedures.

According to MIA, the platform is expected to deliver faster procedures, reduced administrative burden, improved institutional coordination, greater transparency and standardized processes.

The joint system is a digital platform that manages cases of migrants who have moved illegally, processing them in real time and ensuring a structured exchange of data between the respective authorities of both countries.
