Thursday is expected to bring a series of major political developments in Albania, with anti-government protesters set to gather outside the Ministry of Education at around 10 a.m., while members of the ruling Socialist Party convene at the Palace of Brigades in Tirana, where Prime Minister Edi Rama is expected to announce changes to his cabinet.

The government meeting comes a day after Rama met with political leaders, ministers and deputy ministers at the so-called Red Villa in Tirana. The talks focused on the rollout of the “Prania Besnike” initiative across the country, as well as proposed legal changes linked to the “PasqyrAlbania” platform.

Following more than four hours of discussions Wednesday, the government also announced a series of decisions and draft laws covering environmental protection, reconstruction funding, public security, the administration of confiscated properties and fiscal agreements with other countries.

The political developments come as protests enter their 95th consecutive day. Protesters have announced that, starting Thursday, they will also hold demonstrations during the morning hours outside government ministries.

The first gathering is planned outside the Ministry of Education, with organizers saying they intend to move their protests to other ministries in the coming days. Protesters are calling for a fundamental change in Albania’s political establishment, including the resignation of Prime Minister Rama.

The government has already seen its first major change this week. Health Minister Evis Sala resigned on Wednesday, citing international commitments as the reason for her departure.
