Albania-Croatia Relations Further Strengthened through NATO; Milanovic
The President of Croatia, Zoran Milanovic, has also participated in the Parliament of Albania as he is on an official visit to the country. During his speech before the MPs, he mentioned the excellent relations between the two countries, which have been further strengthened through the NATO alliance.
"Also, among those who have listened to Albanians for centuries, I would emphasize Andrea Aleksi, a sculptor with Albanian roots, who created the most important part of his life in Dalmatia, that is, on the Croatian coast. He emphasized his Albanian origin and was very proud of it. For this you have many notes. Andrea, in collaboration with other Dalmatian artists of that time, has created the first works in the space of Croatia, works which cannot be overlooked.
At the same time, I want to single out the Croatian writer and historian, Milan Sufflay, who is one of the creators of Albanian studies as a scientific discipline. Croatia and Albania have begun to strengthen their relationship again more than 30 years ago after significant historical and democratic changes. Today, our two countries have excellent relations, with no open issues. And we are further connected through the alliance in NATO, whose members we became together in the same year", he emphasized, among other things.
The participation of the Croatian president in the Parliament comes after the meeting with his counterpart Bajram Begaj and the joint press conference they held.
