Albania to Face England without Key Players due to Injuries
With many absences, with some players not in the best shape, conditioned by injuries, Albania has started on Monday the preparations for the most prestigious challenge of the group stage, the transfer against England.
The atmosphere is very positive, as well as the desire to give a good performance to the mythical Wembley stadium. This is an easy challenge for Edy Reja, because it is not necessary to prepare the team psychologically when facing a strong opponent. But it will not be easy to sketch the best possible formation, this conditioned by injuries. Thomas Strakosha is the first on the list, but at this point, it is not very worrying, as Ertrit Berisha has always been the first preference.
The biggest absence is Berat Gjimshiti, while the rest of the background is expected to be the same as the last challenge against Poland, with Veseli taking his place. Qazim Laçi is available again, while the striker Armando Broja is added to the list of absences.
This news was confirmed by the defender of the National Team, Frederik Veseli in Tuesday's press conference, stating that Broja will also be an important absence of the red and blacks of Edi Reja. The 20-year-old was injured with his Southampton team, but then recovered where he was active in the last 10 minutes of the game against Aston Villa.
According to the official announcement from AFA (Albanian Football Association), Broja was expected to come together on Tuesday with the National team, but apparently he will not be available to coach Reja for the two matches against England on November 11 at "Wembley", but also against Andorra on November 14 in "Air Albania".
We recall that Broja suffered an injury during the challenge with Burnley, exactly in the ankle that did not allow him to be on the field in the subsequent challenge against Watford, while against Aston Villa was activated only the last 10 minutes.
